Training About Symbaloo

Tangila Webb

My Travels
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and attended Prairie View A & M University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. My intended career choice upon graduation was to become a physician but life circumstances dictated a different path and I entered the teaching profession. In the years since, I have come to know and believe that teaching is my calling in life.

I began my career in education as a secondary science teacher of grades six through eight. I taught science for 11 years. Because I enjoyed using technology with my students, my Instructional Technology Specialist suggested that I apply for a Technology Specialist position  and the rest as they say is history!

I thoroughly enjoy being a resource for teachers and students as we all explore together the tremendous advantages and challenges of ever-evolving technology!

Michelle Leggett

I am first a mother, wife, and educator in the field of Instructional Technology for almost 20 years. I am blessed with a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys.  I try to remember that when everything is said and done at the end of the day, it is the impact I have made on others that remains.  I believe in that our life is measured by the moments we make count, and educating others makes every day count!

I  currently work as an Educational Technology Specialist with Pearland ISD, and teach Instructional Technology for the Classroom as a faculty adjunct for University of Houston-Clear Lake (on an as needed basis). I started out as a high school teacher with many hats: a teacher of Video Technology, Broadcast Journalism, and Speech; a UIL Coordinator and department chair.  I then spent five years working in video conferencing  with the NASA Digital Learning Network at Johnson Space Center.  From there I worked as a district technology coordinator in Dickinson ISD and as an independent consultant, but happily  made my way back to Pearland.

As an independent consultant and trainer, I have delivered many instructional trainings on the use and integration of technology in the classroom. This includes flipped classrooms, document camera trainings and demonstrations; working as a Microsoft Innovative Trainer and of course as a Certified Symbaloo Trainer.

My goal is simple: '...change the media not the content' to have technology seamlessly integrated into education classrooms that helps equalize learning and prepare our students for the future that lies ahead.
